IXYS RF was born out of IXYS Corporation's acquisition of Directed Energy Inc., in May of 2000. With over 15 years experience in high speed, high power MOSFET design, Directed Energy provided the intellectual assets, and with the production and marketing assets of IXYS Corp., produced a new organization dedicated to continually re-defining the standards in Switch Mode, Linear, and Communications Components.

IXYSRF supplies customers with reliable MOSFET and GaAs technologies, married with industry leading package designs that rely on advanced proprietary and patented techniques for outstanding performance and reliability. IXYS RF puts as much emphasis into package technology & innovation as we put into the die technology. We offer industry standard packages as well as proprietary industry leading packages including the ultra low inductance DE Series RF package, ISOPLUS247, and Mirror TO-247.

IXYS Corporation was founded in 1983, and is headquartered in Santa Clara, California. With the acquisition of Directed Energy, IXYS then combined facilities in Lampertheim, Germany, the United Kingdom, Massachusetts and California, to form IXYS RF in order to develop, manufacture, and market a broad spectrum of power semiconductors and power modules for the global power market.
